Gift сertificates are an additional method of payment for purchases
- Gift сertificates are issued in the Marketing management platform (MMP) with a specific type, unique number and value.
- Certificate nominal can be fixed (set during creation in the System) or arbitrary (indicated at the time of purchase at the cash register). Certificate nominal can be set as any positive number.
- A certificate can be physical or virtual.
- Physical certificates are only sold at the point of sale. The cashier reads the barcode of the certificate and makes a purchase as with an ordinary product. Several certificates can be sold in one purchase.
- A virtual certificate is usually issued for purchases at an online store. The electronic ID of the certificate via SMS or email (depending on your mailing settings) and is presented at the checkout to pay for the purchase. A virtual certificate can also be issued at a point of sale.
- Generally, the nominal of a physical certificate is fixed, while the nominal of a virtual certificate is arbitrary.
- The certificate validity period is set in the system and can be changed manually. Depending on the type, the certificate can be used one or more times to pay for purchases during the validity period.
- When paying for a purchase, a gift certificate can be used in conjunction with a loyalty program card. There is the possibility of a refund for the Gift Certificate when returning the products paid by it.
- Unused certificate can be returned. The value of the certificate will be returned to the сustomer in the way in which the purchase of the certificate was paid for (in cash or to a bank card).
- Certificates cannot be used as loyalty program cards: you cannot register a certificate for an LP Member, link it to an existing account, replace a bonus card with a certificate, and other actions.
