Bonus account


The bonus account of the LP Member is a group of accounts with different virtual currencies 

If only one virtual currency is used in the Loyalty Program (bonus points, for example), then the Member's account group will consist of one virtual account in this virtual currency. Let's consider the main stages of creating and filling out account groups, as well as the changes that occur during various actions with them.

When bonus cards are prepackaged after creating an issue, virtual customers are created in the system, which are assigned as holders of prepackaged cards. As many virtual customers are created as there are cards in the issue. A virtual customer is a part of a customer group with which the virtual account group is associated. Thus, the bonus card is not directly linked to a group of accounts. An account group is linked to a customer group, which includes a customer with a bonus card.

The account group of a new virtual customer does not contain any virtual accounts.

Creating an account in a virtual currency occurs during the first transaction in that currency involving a group of accounts. For example, a customer makes a purchase using a bonus card. During the operation for the accrual or deduction of bonus points, the system checks whether the group of accounts linked with this customer has a virtual account in this currency. If there is no virtual account in this currency, it is created and linked to a group of customer accounts.

At the same time, a real customer may not be registered in the Loyalty Program, and the card may be issued, but not activated. In this case, only the operation of accruing bonus points is possible on the card, but this is enough to create a virtual account in a group of accounts.

When registering a customer in the Loyalty Program, data is exchanged between the customer and the virtual customer linked to the registered bonus card. Both virtual and real customers have separate customer groups to which they belong and to which account groups are linked. In the process of registering a customer at the stage of linking a physical card, data is transferred from a group of virtual customer accounts to a group of accounts of a real registered customer. If there are accumulated bonus points on the virtual accounts of an unregistered customer, they will be transferred to the corresponding virtual accounts of the registered customer. In addition, other data (values ​​of attributes, сounters, etc.) are copied from the virtual customer to the new registered LP Member. After linking a bonus card to a registered customer, the virtual customer and the group of accounts linked with it are marked deleted.

If during the registration process the bonus card is not linked, the account group of the registered customer remains empty. Before linking a bonus card to a registered customer, all operations are carried out on the accounts of a virtual customer linked to the card. In accordance with the rules of the system, for a bonus card issued but not activated (not linked to a registered customer), only bonus accrual operations are possible.

It is possible to link a bonus card after the customer has registered in the Loyalty Program. In this case, the customer is registered in the system, has a linked customer group with an empty account group. As long as the bonus card is not linked to a registered customer, all operations are carried out on the accounts of the virtual customer linked to the card.

When a bonus card is linked to a registered LP Member, all bonus points accumulated on the group of accounts of the virtual cardholder are transferred to the corresponding accounts of the registered Member. In addition, other data (attribute values, counters, etc.) are copied from the virtual customer to the LP Member. Just like it happens when linking a card during registration (see above).

Replacing a Card

When the card is replaced, the group of accounts of the virtual customer, to which the new card is linked, is merged with the group of accounts of the LP Member, to which the replaced card is linked. Operations to transfer bonus points from one group of accounts to another are performed in the same way as when linking a card to a registered customer (see above). The identifiers of the new card are added to the LP Member and the identifiers of the replaced card are deleted. In addition, other data (attribute values, counters, etc.) are copied from the virtual customer to the LP Member. The virtual customer linked with the new card, as well as the group of accounts linked with it through the customer group, are marked deleted.

Merging Accounts of Several LP Members

When linking accounts of several LP Members, the bonus points from the linked account group are transferred to the corresponding account of another account group. The linked account group is marked deleted. As a result, the LP Members have a common customer group and common account group. Each of them can use their own bonus card, but at the same time save and spend bonus points from the same group of accounts.
