List of terms and definitions used in the Loymax system 

ConceptDefinition
General concepts
Loyalty program (LP)
  1. Customer loyalty program implemented in the Member's retail chains, which is automated using Loymax software.
  2. A complex of marketing activities aimed at stimulating sales to existing customers in the future.
UserA natural person using any system, any software product, application. When using this term, as a rule, its clarification is given, for example, MMP User, Personal Account User, Mobile Application User.
RegistrationThe process when the Customer transfers his/her data necessary to create a Member's profile in the Loyalty Program and activate a bonus card. Registration can be carried out by the LP Member independently (in the Personal Account, Mobile Application or Chatbot) or with the help of the Call Center Agent.
Authorization
  1. Authentication process of the LP Member's data entered by the Member in the authorization form when entering his/her profile in the Loyalty Program in the Personal Account, Mobile Application or Chatbot.
  2. Authentication process of the User's data in the MMP entered by him/her in the authorization form when entering his/her profile in the MMP.
Account

A virtual bonus account containing an activated (available for payment) and non-activated balance in certain virtual currency.

One card can contain several accounts, and the account can be linked to several cards, including several customers (when merging accounts).

ReceiptA paper document of a set form, which is usually automatically printed by a cash register. The reciept is a document confirming the fact that a client purchased products/services from the Partner. 
LimitLimitation on the performance of actions in the system, which is configured to ensure information security when interacting with the system and to protect customer data from unauthorized use.
Client servicesA set of platforms that allow customers to independently interact with the Loyalty Program. For example, client services include Personal Account, Mobile Application and Chatbot.
Personal account
  1. An electronic customer portal allowing them to interact with the Loyalty Program. The Personal account is located on a separate second-third level domain, which is registered by the Client.
  2. The section of the Mobile Application of the Loyalty Program, in which the Member of the LP can manage the data of his/her account in the Loyalty Program.
  3. The functionality of the Chatbot, which allows customers to use it to manage their account data in the Loyalty Program.
Mobile applicationSoftware that allows customers to work with sections of the Personal Account of the Loyalty Program using mobile devices.
Partners
ClientPotential partner; a legal entity or natural person providing products, services, wishing to implement the Loymax system, but has not yet signed an implementation agreement.
PartnerA legal entity or individual that provides products, services, who has the ability to accept Loymax cards when calculating and provide preferences for the purchase of products or services.
Partner in the implementation processA legal entity or natural person that has signed an agreement with Loymax about the implementation of the Loymax system and is at the stage of the pilot launch and use of the system.
Customers
Customer

A natural person who is a consumer or a potential consumer of products and services of a Loyalty Program Partner, but has not completed the registration process in the Loyalty Program and does not receive preferences in full.

The Customer can become an LP Member if he/she performs the mandatory actions* to complete registration in the Loyalty Program:

  • consent to the processing of personal data, with the LP Rules, with a Public Offer agreement;
  • fill out the required fields of the application form;
  • link a bonus card.

*The list of required steps to complete registration can be configured individually for each Loyalty Program.

Member (LP Member)

A natural person who has registered in the Loyalty Program and has the opportunity to receive preferences in full.

To become an LP Member, as a rule*, the following is to be required:

  • agree to the processing of personal data, with the LP Rules, with a Public Offer agreement;
  • fill out the required fields of the application form;
  • link a bonus card.

*The list of required steps to complete registration can be configured individually for each Loyalty Program.

CustomersThe general concept that unites clients and LP Members.
Customer attribute

Characteristics of the LP Member, allowing on the basis of it to interact with him/her through the Loyalty Program.

Based on customer attributes, you can set up offers and build communications with the LP Members.

Target audienceThe list of customers, formed according to a certain criterion, in order to organize the interaction with this segment of customers: creating special offers, personal offers, mailings, etc.
LP Member statusThe value of a certain attribute, which may be changed depending on the behavior of the LP Member, and with certain settings of the offer, may affect the number of preferences provided to this LP Member.
ReferrerRegistered Member who invites new customers to the Loyalty Program. The referrer card number is entered by the referral when registering in the Loyalty Program.
Referral

An individual who has registered in the Loyalty Program by specifying a referral code (as a rule, the referrer's bonus card number).

Cards
LP card, loyalty card, bonus cardA physical or virtual customer identifier that is issued in the Loyalty Program and allows the LP Member to receive preferences.
Physical card

An LP card on a physical carrier, on which, as a rule, is placed for identification of a Customer:

  • card number;
  • barcode;
  • magnetic stripes.
Card typeA set of characteristics of a bonus card, indicating the possibilities and ways of using it.
Parent card

A physical bonus card that is merged under one account with one or more additional cards. The parent card can be used both for accrual and for deduction of bonus points common with additional cards.

Additional cardA physical card that has a parent and inherits its state. An additional card has the same owner as the parent card, but it is impossible to deduct from such a card.
Virtual cardA card available only in the Mobile Application, in the Personal Account, or in the Chatbot. It can be used as an identifier of the Customer/LP Member when making purchases.
Gift cardA payment instrument in the Loymax system with bonus points on the account, with which the gift card holder can pay in full or in part for the purchase at the LP Partner's points of sale.
Card categoryCharacteristics of the card, created in a special section of the MMP and indicated when creating a card issue. Categories of cards enable to distribute them according to certain criteria and are used as a filter in offers.
Card aggregatorAn external, third-party mobile application that allows using a smartphone to store and use physical loyalty program cards.
Electronic card

A physical bonus card that the LP Member keeps and uses using the card aggregator.

CVC code

The verification code of the bonus card, printed on its back. CVC codes are generated for bonus cards when a special flag is set during the creation of a card issue.

Currency
Cash register currency

Conventional units with which customers pay for products/services from the Partner. The default virtual currency is rubles.

Virtual currency

Conventional units accrued to a Customer for purchases of products (services, works) made by him/her in trade and service organizations on certain conditions within the framework of various events in the system. The default virtual currency is bonus points.

Bonus pointsDefault virtual currency.
Lifetime of bonus pointsThe period of time within which virtual currency can be deducted as payment for purchases.
Bonus points with lifetimeA virtual currency that can be used for a specified lifetime.
Time of bonus points activation

The period after which the virtual currency accrued to the account can be used for deduction.

Bonus points expiration date

The period after which the virtual currency unused within the specified period cannot be used for deduction.

Bonus rateThe ratio of the virtual currency value to the cash register currency.
Multiple accounts1. The ability to maintain customer bonus accounts using several virtual currencies created in the MMP.
2. The ability to create several virtual currencies in the MMP within one LP Partner.
Bonus points accrual

Replenishment of the customer's bonus account with virtual currency as a result of an offer, or manually.

Bonus points deduction

Reduction of the number of bonus points on the account of the LP Member as a result of their payment for part of the purchase within a special offer or as a result of manual operation of deduction.

Offers
OfferIt is a complex of mechanics (events, actions, and filters) aimed at realization of the marketing strategy of companies. Offer may be limited by time period, target audience, location, etc.
Rule

This is a chain of actions in an offer that ensures that the offer works in accordance with its objectives. A rule consists of a set of actions and filters* within an active offer event. There can be several rules in an event.

*The chain of actions must contain one or more actions, the presence of filters in the chain is optional.

Offer importUploading information on the offer into the system, presented in a file in .json format.
Offer categoryThe characteristics of the offer created in a special section of the MMP and indicated when creating an offer. Offer categories enable to distribute them according to specific criteria for easy search and customization. Examples of offers: Personal offers, Red price tag, Discounts on products of our own production.
Summable offerThe offer, the terms of which apply along with the provision of other preferences.
Non-summable offerThe offer that triggers according to priority.
Offer priorityA Parameter that determines the order of offer triggering; the higher priority value, the earlier the terms of the offer are applied within the purchase.
EventAn event within the system that occurs at a certain moment of time is registered in the system and causes the processing of rules (actions) associated with this event.
ActionSystem response in the context of an event.
FilterThe condition for the system to perform the action set within the event.
DiscountThe amount by which the price of a product/service, their groups or sets is reduced within the offer.
External/cash register discountA discount on a product/ service provided by LP Partner, regardless of the existing offers in the system. Information about external/cash register discount is transmitted to the system at the cash register.
Bonus pointsBonus points that increase the balance of the bonus account depending on the conditions of current offers and can be used to reduce the price of subsequent purchases.
External/cash register bonus pointsBonus points accrued by the LP Partner to the LP Member when purchasing a product/service, regardless of the current offers in the system. Information about external/cash register bonus points is transmitted to the system at the cash register.
Personal offerA category of an offer aimed at a specific target audience.
CouponA document (on paper or in digital form) containing a unique code that gives the right to receive preferences within the Loyalty Program.
Public coupons (promo codes)Coupons that do not have unique identifiers, intended for use by multiple customers. As a rule, public coupons are published in publicly available sources of information, for example, the Internet and the mass media.
Coupons for distributionCoupons with unique identifiers. Each coupon is for use by one customer. Typically, such coupons are distributed to customers at the time of purchase through various communication channels.
Customer couponsThey have a unique identifier and are issued to loyal customers of the brand, while the Customer chooses the coupon independently and pays for it with bonus points in the Marketplace or MobileApp.
Test cash registerWeb interface for checking configured and starting offers in the MMP.
MMP
MMPA marketing management platform that enables you to configure the functioning of the Loyalty Program. MMP has various sections that authorized users have access to if they have special rights.
Business activitySystem event that triggers the processing of the rules associated with this event.
ConfigurationsSystem settings prescribed in the corresponding section of the MMP.
Regular expressionsTemplates of values of various parameters in the system, prescribed in a special section of the MMP.
Numbers of templatesThe MMP section, in which templates of card numbers, booklets, coupons are prescribed.
Notification templatesThe MMP section, in which templates of notifications sent by the system to customers via various communication channels are registered.
BrandTrade network within the Partner LP.
BookletA document issued to the Customer along with the subscriber card, containing a password and instructions for activating the card and other information.
Cashier register identifierThe value used to identify the Customer at the cash register
Verification code

A sequence of characters that the MMP User or the LP Member enters to confirm any of his actions in the system. The verification code is sent via one of the communication channels and is displayed in the communication history in the MMP for Users who have the right to view the confirmation codes.

Purchase managementThe MMP section, which enables you to receive detailed information about all purchases made within the Loymax system.
Right of the MMP UserThe ability to interact with sections of the MMP and/or view the information in the sections.
Role of the MMP UserA set of rights that allow the MMP User to solve tasks specific to the role.
PluginAn additional module designed to expand the standard functionality and possibilities of using the MMP.
StagingA test version of the system, as close as possible to the real conditions of its use, with the help of which Loymax employees and Partner employees can test both individual system capabilities and its operation as a whole before updating the Partner's real system.
Status systemAn attribute containing a set of parameters, based on which the status of the LP Members can be changed within this status system.
Products
Product catalogThe catalog of products and services provided by the LP Partner uploaded to the Loymax system.
Product groupA group of products, grouped according to some attribute, or for any purpose.
Product group importUploading information about groups of products into the system, presented in a file in .json format.
Including setA set of products that are part of a product group.
Excluding setA set of products that are excluded from the product group.
Fixed product groupA group of products, the composition of which does not change when the product catalog is updated.
Non-fixed product groupA group of products, the composition of which is updated when the product catalog is updated.
Product attributeProduct characteristic to be downloaded from ERP.
Static product attributeA non-changing attribute of a product (for example, the "manufacturer" attribute).
Dynamic product attributesProduct attribute that can be changed by the LP Partner (for example, the "promotional" attribute).
Personal (favorite) productsA special group of products, from which the LP Member can independently form his/her list of favorite products, and then receive special preferences when buying them.
Product barcodeProduct identifier that is uploaded along with its various attributes to the product catalog.
Call Center
Call Center The Loymax system module intended for processing customer requests by agents.
Registration by callRegistration of a new LP Member in the Loymax system in case of contacting the Call Center by phone. In this case, filling in the data about the new LP Member is carried out according to his/her words by the Call Center Agent.
Registration without callRegistration of a new LP Member in the Loymax system on the basis of his/her data transferred by the Member for processing (for example, based on the data of the application form completed at the point of sale).
Customer historyThe section containing information about confirmed operations using cards of LP Members.
Purchase historyThe section containing information about purchases (including unfinished and canceled) using the cards of the LP Members.
SubscriptionsMailing methods that are used to send information of a different nature to a specific LP Member. By default, subscriptions to all types of mailings are enabled for the LP Member. If necessary, the LP Member independently (for example, in the Personal Account) or with the help of the CC Agent can disable specific types of subscriptions.
OTRSOpen system for processing applications. A software product for handling customer requests.
Communications
MailingSending messages to the LP Members using various communication channels.
Mailing methodMethod of sending messages to LP Members (for example, SMS, email, Chatbot, etc.).
Mailing providerA company that provides sending messages to the LP Members using any communication channel (for example, SmsTraffic, Devino, etc.).
Regular tasksActions performed by the system at a given frequency. Such actions can be aimed both at interacting with the LP Member to increase their level of loyalty (Birthdays - periodic congratulations of the LP Members on their birthday), and at automating processes in the system (Participation in groups in social networks - periodic checking of the presence of LP Members in LP Partner groups in social networks).

Information about offers of the LP Partner configured in the MMP and displayed in the designated places of the Personal Account.

Ad space

An attribute configured in the MMP and indicating the place in the Personal Account interface where the advertisement will be displayed.

Promotional content
(Promotional banner)
Display of information about offers, which can be customized using the MMP, depending on their types.
Category of promotional contentDescription of the promotional content, created in a special section of the MMP. The category of the promotional content must be specified when creating promotional content. Categories of promotional content enable to distribute them according to certain criteria for easy search and customization.
Marketing
Marketing campaignA complex of offers, united by one campaign for easy management and following to specific goals within this campaign.
Planned targetsIndicators that can be used to track the effectiveness of a specific marketing campaign.
BI analytics
BI (Business intelligence)A set of technologies for collecting, storing, and analyzing data that allows you to provide users with reliable analytics in a convenient format, which can be used to make effective decisions to manage the company's business processes.
All levels of users, from employees to founders, have flexible access to the management reporting they need without contacting IT specialists
DWH (Data Warehouse)Data store. An array of data processed and stored in a single hardware and software complex, which provides quick access to operational and historical information, multidimensional data analysis.
OLAP cube (OnLine Analytical Processing)
  1. Long-term multidimensional data array used in OLAP.
  2. A technology that allows you to make any reports in real-time and conduct full data analysis.
  3. Provides easy-to-use, high-speed tools for accessing, viewing and analyzing business information.
Pre-configured reports

Reports generated using Excel pivot tables connected to an OLAP cube, allowing you to track the dynamics of various indicators of the Partner's loyalty program in the context of measures and dimensions of the cube.

Power BI

A collection of software services and applications that interact with each other to turn data sources into interactive analytical information.
