Mechanics of Favorite Products


Personal products (Favorite products) are personal list of customer products. Products from this list may be subject for special discounts and other preferences.

The LP Member can choose favorite products, or products can be assigned to the LP Member by the system on the basis of his/her purchases or in accordance with the terms of the offer.

To indicate the amount of the Member’s favorite products, the concept of the cell of the favorite product is used. Cell is a place for posting data on a favorite product of aт LP Member. In one cell there can be one favorite product.

How lists of favorite products are formed

To set up the rules for forming favorite products, as well as the rules for getting preferences for them, the System must have the same-name mechanics - Favorite Products. To set up the mechanics, you need to perform a set of actions in the MMP, including creation of special product groups, offers, etc. Read more about it in the special article.

Please note that this article includes the term Personal Products, which should not be confused with Favorite Products. Personal Products are a group of products from which a set of favorite products of a LP Member is formed. Personal Products are configured in the same name section of the MMP and are used to implement the Favorite Products mechanics.

Lists of favorite products of the LP Member can be formed:

  • By Member independently through various channels:
  • By the System:
    • on the basis of an offer that allows to fill empty cells in the set of favorite products automatically (see the example of the Personal Offer Renewal), if the LP Member has not filled all the cells with favorite products.

How many favorite products can a LP Member choose?

The quantity of products available for selection and to which preferences are applied is limited by the System settings.

  • When creating personal products, a certain number of cells of your favorite product is set, which the Member can fill out.
  • When creating offers with the Favorite products offer, it is possible to increase or decrease the number of cells of your favorite products in accordance with the terms of the offer.

The System provides an alternative way of creating favorite products - Favorite Products based on personal data. This method is based on the profile data of the LP Member. Such mechanics allows to create several product groups, united by a common feature (for example, books and toys), for all products of which the preferences for the LP Member will apply. To do this, the LP Member must select the number of favorite product groups set in the System in a special question of the application form.
